CCSD has opened a number of schools within the past 10 years, as well as modernizing any older schools in the district ensuring students have access to modern learning environments. Our high schools all include modern science labs, as well as gymnasiums, theatre and other artistic spaces, woodworking shops, and mechanic shops.
CCSD is part of various local sports associations and therefore offer the following sports at a competitive level: Soccer, Cross Country, Track & Field, Football, Swimming, Badminton, Basketball, Rugby, Field Hockey, Volleyball and Wrestling.
Schools also offer intramural sports options where all students can be involved regardless of their skill level.

Info: CCSD works with Canada Homestay Network (CHN) to place students into excellent host families in the City of Calgary. This service is available for students in grades 7-12 only.
All of CHN’s host families have had thorough interviews, home inspections, safety checks and reference checks. They are enthusiastic to receive international students and all speak English in the home. CCSD staff will monitor the well-being of students in a Homestay to ensure there are no issues with the host family and will work with CHN to ensure the student is safe and happy in their environment.
Student Services & Orientation & Counseling:
CCSD has a large student wellness and support team in place that is in addition to the excellent support provided in the classroom. This team of experts are centrally dispatched to schools as needs arise ensuring excellent support for all students in our district. The ESL support team is part of this group as well which ensures that our students receive excellent support for learning English.
