Info: Our friendly, welcoming community enjoys the warm temperate climate of BC’s West Coast. We offer all modern amenities for medical and dental care, shopping, theatres, and a multitude of community sports programs. There is easy access to Vancouver and Victoria, including a 30 minute flight from the Comox Valley International Airport to Vancouver. Visiting students and their families enjoy outstanding recreational activities including world class skiing and snowboarding on Mt. Washington, golfing, water sports, mountain biking and hiking. It takes only 30 minutes to be skiing and 10 minutes to be at the ocean, lakes and rivers.

Learn English in your home every day with English speaking parents, brothers and sisters. Comox Valley Schools employed homestay coordinators, recruit, screen and orient homestay families ensuring a warm and supportive home setting.
Homestay family profiles are provided 3 months prior to student arrival and you have the opportunity to communicate with your homestay family via skype, whatsapp, email or phone before arrival.

The Comox Valley International Student Program, a division of Comox Valley Schools, offers student services including, orientation, 2 International student only activities per month, homestay department and support, and general oversight of you while in Comox Valley.
Within each school, an International Student Support Teacher (ISPST) acts as your counselor, teacher and biggest advocate. Visit them anytime in their International Student classroom.
