Nestled in the mountains and edged by the Pacific Ocean and Fraser River, we enjoy a mild climate with a safe environment and an affluent style. Our 70 schools – including 8 high schools – are centres of excellence for teaching and learning. Our many and varied programs include Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Sports Academies. Info: Homestay in Coquitlam School District is more than just food and lodging – it is a chance to take part in all aspects of family life. We believe that our students will feel that they really do have a “home away from home”. Homestay includes room and board with a separate bedroom in a family setting. (Note: Elementary school students must live with a parent during long-term programs.)
