With our large variety of programs that we are able to offer in our seven high schools, everyone is able to find a program that suits their needs. Activities range from hockey, basketball, soccer, golf, volleyball to music, arts, philanthropy, or sustainability school clubs, to mention only a few. We are a bilingual school division that provides an excellent and affordable educational experience. A broad range of courses is offered from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
Through the LRSD Homestay Program students will experience what it is like to be a member of a Canadian family in a warm and welcoming home environment, offering 24/7 support.
The Louis Riel School Division Arts and Technology Centre is an accredited Post Secondary Technical/ Vocational institution. Successful completion allows students to receive a post-grad work letter.
The Louis Riel School Division continuously invests in the infrastructure and spaces students need to learn, thrive and grow into active, capable citizens.
Some of our high schools offer specialized Sport Academies, e.g. basketball, dance, football, hockey, soccer, volleyball, as well as athletic events for water polo, ultimate frisbee, curling, rugby, etc.

The Louis Riel School Division also offers a Summer Enrichment Program that gives students from ages 12-18 years old an excellent environment to practice their English language skills. The Summer Enrichment Program adds to students' educational experience in Canada and takes them beyond the classroom. Info: International Students are being taught the Manitoba Curriculum and Grade 9 to 12 students earn credits towards a Manitoba high school diploma. Our schools are known for their full libraries, well-equipped computer facilities, science laboratories, theatres, gymnasiums, music/band rooms and practical arts facilities. High school students have the opportunity to take optional special interest courses in subjects from Spanish to Business to Law. All of our schools embrace the use of technology, 21st Century Learning, and recognize the importance of physical education.

Info: The Louis Riel School Division is a school district in Winnipeg, Manitoba, right in the heart of Canada. Our division is named after Louis Riel who was a political figure in the history of Manitoba. Louis Riel lived from 1844-1885 and was involved in the Founding of the Province of Manitoba. Our division borders the Red River and we have many parks, green spaces and small lakes right in our schools' backyards.

Info: Students require 30 credits to graduate. These 30 credits are made up of both compulsory (mandatory) and optional courses (electives). This system gives students the flexibility to pursue courses that are best for their interests and goals.
Program Options for international students are:

- Dual Program: Earn two high school diplomas from two countries

Info: Through the homestay program, students get to experience what it is like to be a member of a Canadian family in a welcoming and safe home environment. International students will live with a family and participate in family life, including helping with chores. Living with a homestay family provides international students with the true Canadian experience and exposes students to many unique activities and events.
International students staying with a homestay family can expect:
•A family and home personally selected and approved by the ISP Homestay Coordinator
•A private room
•Three healthy daily meals
•A positive and supportive atmosphere in which to study and live
