All families are carefully screened before hosting our international students, and students have 24/7 emergency access to our on-staff Homestay Manager. Staying with a Canadian family is an enriching cultural experience and an important component of our program. One of the reasons for success in the program is that the English instruction received in our schools is reinforced by the English immersion environment in the home.

At school, we provide an International Support Teacher, an International Education Assistant, qualified ESL/ELL teachers, and counsellors. Students also have 24/7 access to our Homestay Manager who has an office at Mission Secondary School. Each month we coordinate and supervise special student activities and sightseeing opportunities which include overnight trips to Seattle USA, Vancouver Island, world famous Whistler Ski Resort, and a variety of activities, culminating in a farewell dinner to ensure our students are well cared for during their stay.
