EQI offers Sporting Academies, sports excellence programs, school connections with sporting clubs, and competition level involvement in school sports. Entry into some sporting programs requires a try out and an special additional application to join the sports excellence program. Some sports programs attract additional out-of-pocket expenses for clubs, memberships, travel to competition, coaching, or school program additional costs outside of the standard tuition.

Info: Students may choose Junior High School or Senior High School as a study abroad stream. A Regional Study Abroad program is available at lower cost. Students may also choose to study for the Queensland Certificate of Education or IB Diploma to complete high school in Queensland as a pathway to further studies in Australia or overseas where the Australian high school certificate is recognised.

Info: Languages in some schools are delivered as face-to-face classes in the school. Immersion programs where other subjects are also taught in two languages are available at some schools. Those levels are generally more advanced and suit students who have high language proficiency. Languages can also be taken through distance education.

Info: International Student Programs are offered through schools right across Queensland. Locations include the Gold Coast, Brisbane and region, the Sunshine Coast and Sunshine Coast Hinterlands, Toowoomba and South East Queensland country, the Fraser Coast and Southern Great Barrier Reef, Central Queensland, Mackay, Townsville, and Cairns and region. Schools are located in attractive locations in the capital city of Brisbane, near surf beaches, along the Great Barrier Reef coastline, in the inland mountain and country areas of Queensland, and in the tropics. There is even one school on an island. There are over 90 schools to choose from.

Info: Living with an Australian host family is a great way to experience Australia’s fantastic lifestyle close to your school community. By living in a safe, caring and supportive home environment you can immerse yourself in your studies, practise your English skills and develop lasting friendships with your homestay family.What is provided? In addition to a safe, welcoming and friendly home, your homestay host will provide you with: three nutritious meals a day, seven days a week; a private bedroom with a bed, storage space and a desk for study; and assistance to access transport to and from school and to school activities. When you arrive in Queensland for the first time (to commence your study program) a representative from your school will meet you at the airport and arrange transport.
Student Services & Orientation & Counseling: Each International Student Program school has a dedicated international office with an international student coordinator and homestay coordinator. The international office fully supports international students at the local school. In addition, students receive support from the guidance officer, heads of departments, teachers, as well as deputy principals and principals. In the homestay, students are supported by the host family members. Additionally, students have the medical insurance assistance from Allianz Global Assistance if they purchased OSHC through EQI. Outside of school hours, EQI also has a dedicated after-hours student support network - 1800QSTUDY. The Department of Education International further supports schools, students, parents , and education partners.
