Kristin runs a nationally acclaimed performing arts programme and our facilities are outstanding. Info: Kristin is situated on 26 hectares of park-like grounds on Auckland’s North Shore. Kristin is located within an hour's drive of Auckland airport, and is close to golden sandy beaches and scenic bush walks as well as vibrant shopping and entertainment centres. It is also within a four drive of the scenic Northland region. The North Shore of Auckland is regarded as an area with a high standard of living and one of the safest districts in all of New Zealand. Therefore, Kristin students can enjoy 'the best of both worlds' - the beautiful green landscaped environment of the school campus and environs, in addition to all that Auckland has to offer as New Zealand's largest and most dynamic city.
Specialized Programs: Leadership, Outdoor Education, Trips
Info: The opportunity to learn leadership skills and put them into practice is one of the most important aspects of a Kristin education, and there are many opportunities at Kristin for students to raise their hand for leadership roles. A committed student could become a Prefect, House Captain, member on one of the many Senior School committees, an Academic Mentor, Sport Mentor etc. There are loads of opportunities!
Students interested in adventure also benefit hugely from our innovative and award-winning Outdoor Education programme, full of various trips led by very capable and experienced teachers.
Towards the end of February each year, all Middle and Senior School students go on a week-long camp to various scenic areas of New Zealand, helping to establish strong peer and teacher bonds.
Accommodation: Homestay
Info: Kristin School is proud of its quality controlled homestay accommodation programme. Students are placed in exceptional homes in the local community. Many are within walking distance, and others are located around the attractive North Shore close to amenities and beaches. We require from our host families a high standard of care and interaction with the students, and expect them to support the school activities and culture.
All homestay families are police vetted, reference checked and continually monitored both through regular meetings with the students, and via home visits.

Student Services & Orientation & Counseling:
We have targeted support for international students with three dedicated full-time staff continually available. Students are offered an orientation programme both on arrival and in weekly meetings held in the spacious and attractive International Centre. We have first-language teachers also available if required. In addition, all internationals join a year group managed by a Dean who counsels on subject choices and monitors academic and general progress. We have a University Admissions Counsellor to support applications for both NZ and overseas universities.
Two Educational Psychologists and two registered nurses are also on site in our Wellness Centre.
