The award-winning Drama and Music Department at Rosmini College provide a range of ensembles and groups
for students to be involved in. This includes choirs for all levels and abilities, orchestra and jazz bands, rock bands
who perform at school events, theatre sports, and the Rosmini Academy of Performing Arts (RAPA).
The school also provides group lessons available through the Itinerant Music Programme for the following
musical instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone and Tuba, Flute,
Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Alto Saxophone and Tenor Saxophones, Voice /

Specialized Programs: Leadership, Outdoor Education
Info: Rosmini College’s One Foot in the Clouds is the only program of its kind in Australasia, boosting student engagement in technical and theoretical subjects through hands-on projects.
The program began with paper rocket construction powered by hobby motors and now includes student-designed rockets with telemetry systems, achieving 100-150 launches annually. Students also build RC aircraft using balsa and electronics, guided by local experts to develop skills in fabrication, project management, and physics.
Advanced students work on building a 2-seat aluminium aircraft, with flight training funded by the client. Outcomes include placements in engineering and aerospace programs, NZ Air Force training, and national competition wins, showcasing the program’s transformative impact.
