International students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities, which can be sporting or cultural. Scots College has held national titles and competes at the highest levels in New Zealand in a number of sporting codes. Our particular strengths include football (soccer), basketball, tennis and rugby. Students don't have to be great sports people however, and we consider the social aspects of joining a team just as important. Studying at Scots can also be a time to try something completely new, such as learning to sail at our sailing academy just ten minutes from school, or learning to play golf at the golf course next to the school.

Student Services & Orientation & Counseling:
International Services at Scots College is managed by a dedicated team of professionals, who are responsible for ensuring international students are supported in a nurturing, safe and welcoming environment.
The House System is a central part of our pastoral care and support system. Each student becomes a member of a House and works and develops as a member of a closer community structure. The House becomes the students' family while at the College. The House Dean monitors everything from academic progress to social well-being, and maintains close links with parents regarding their child’s progress and welfare.
