Info: Waitakere College high school is at the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges native rainforest, close to rugged West Coast surfing beaches and semi-rural areas. However, we are also located in one of the major suburbs of Auckland, which is New Zealand's largest and very multi-cultural city, with thriving sports facilities, hobby clubs, shopping, entertainment, dining, museums, galleries, and events. The train station is 5 minutes walk from our school, and there are buses and easy road access all over the city. If you prefer calmer beaches, the train and bus will take you there, including to our spectacular Waitemata Harbour full of islands (such as the non-active volcano Rangitoto island, which you can walk up for great views). Adventure activities and outdoors exploring are at our doorstep!
